Welcome to my Playground of Dreams

The all important introduction:

My name is Jayme-Leigh Fortuin - aged 18 and I am born and bred in Cape Town, South Africa. I am fresh out of high school and enjoying my new found freedom of not being bound down to one thing at a time. My interests lie in writing, travelling, baking, scrap booking, music and of course fashion, a love that began at a young and tender age; therefor I have my mom to thank.

Since this is my first official post, I ponder on what to say next as I sit at my desk with a blank stare on my face and an equally blank mind. This is harder than I initially thought it would be. I see this blog as a creative outlet, as being creative is what I do best.

This blog will serve as my online diary, a place to vent and release bottled up emotions and frustrations. It will play on insight into my mind frame on love, fashion and life in general i.e. the world through my eyes. I applaud myself for finally taking the risk of trying something completely new and out of my comfort zone. I'm still in the process of learning the ins and outs of the blogosphere, so please bear with me! A blog isn't always the most easiest thing to keep up with as you render yourself to be ridiculed to complete strangers, as is the case with all forms of social networks.

My main focus for my blog is to be honest and to blog about things that appeal to me visually and literary - talk about things that matter to me. I want people to be able to relate to me and give me feedback, whether it be positive or constructive. These are just a few of my goals that I wish to achieve with my blog. I've always wanted to start my own blog, specifically to channel myself and to deliver the best that I've got to give.

I feel like I'm rambling and have gone off the topic but I feel that it's important to get my point across. Hopefully this gives people a feel of who I am and what I stand for.

xoxo
